buffer Search in Gnome-Terminal
Submitted by gra..@..ra.net
Description
package: Gnome-Terminal Severity: Wishlist
Could you pllleeassee work on a text buffer search function for gnome-terminal. This is a great terminal package but it is just missing this one all important thing. I work troubleshooting rouers on the across Australian Internet Backbone all day and the ability to search the outputs of router configs is a must. I'm trying to show all the other NT losers here how effictive linux is as a desktop platform in our
environment and I think I've got em on every point cept the telnet searching thing. So if you could address this at some stage it would be great.

This is already planned in a future release.
Depending on how I do it, it may require a change to the underlying libzvt api, in which case it will have to wait until the next major release. It may be possible to merge it in safely though.
