When pressing Ctrl+Shift+F, refocus the Find dialog if already/still open
Verified on 3.36.2.
Currently, when I press my search keyboard shortcut (ctrl-f
) I get a dialog box into which to enter search to search. Then I can press ctrl-g
to go forward in search. Great. When I find something I want, I then start interacting with terminal window. Great. Then, 5 minutes later I want to search again. I press ctrl-f
and nothing happens. Why? Because I didn't close the previous search dialog. And ctrl-f
does not bring it into the focus or anything.
I would suggest that pressing ctrl-f
always gives focus to the search dialog. If it is not open, open it. If it is already open, bring the focus to it (and put the cursor in the search input box, wherever it was last).
Another small nitpick: if I press enter
while in the search input box, the search goes backwards (up), and not forward. I would assume search should always go forward by default (when you press enter
).
