gnome-terminal window launched with any DISPLAY value is always displayed on display 0
I have a problem with gnome-terminal. If I set the DISPLAY environment variable, or start gnome-terminal with "--display" switch, or directly from a vnc session on a different display, the newly opened gnome-terminal window is always displayed on 0. Inside the newly opened gnome-terminal window, the DISPLAY variable has the correct value, but it is always only visible on display 0. I even have a vnc startup script that shoud open gnome terminal on display 21, and there is no instance of gnome terminal running when this gets executed, but the result is gnome-terminal opening on display 0.
expected result would be gnome-terminal opening on display that is set.
gnome-terminal-3.30.3 Os: gentoo xorg-server-1.20.5 (wayland is not enabled) I don't see any log entries in journal, the terminal output is:
# _g_io_module_get_default: Found default implementation dconf (DConfSettingsBackend) for ‘gsettings-backend’
# watch_fast: "/org/gnome/terminal/legacy/" (establishing: 0, active: 0)
# unwatch_fast: "/org/gnome/terminal/legacy/" (active: 0, establishing: 1)
# watch_established: "/org/gnome/terminal/legacy/" (establishing: 0)
Please let me know what information is needed for further investigation and I'll provide it!
Thank you very much in advance!
