Switch profile from command line
Inspired by https://askubuntu.com/q/1187101:
It would be great to have a command, such as
gnome-terminal --change-profile Foobar
or
gnome-terminal --change --profile Foobar
to change the profile of the current terminal (the one where this command is issued).
In the second form, --change
is an alternative to --window
and --tab
, and the existing --profile
is overloaded.
Maybe the same for per-terminal (that is, non-profile) settings, such as --zoom
and... anything else?
This is technically possible based on the GNOME_TERMINAL_*
environment variables.
