## Description
Video don't play in ubuntu 17.10.
Ubuntu 17.10 runs on wayland as display manager and most software like gnome-subtitles are not yet updated for it.
To make gnome-subtitles to work I had to log out and at the "Sign in" screen I clicked the small cogwheel next to the button, then I chose "Ubuntu on Xorg" or "Gnome on Xorg", this reverts to X as display manager, where gnome-subtitles still works.
I hope you get a wayland working version soon...
thanks
