Cannot choose from available microphones (cards)
Cannot choose from available microphones (cards)
Wanted (if not already available) a method to use 'card 1' instead of the default 'card 0'.
The computer has a sound card with microphone and USB microphone as follows:
$ arecord -l
**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****
card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: CX20641 Analog [CX20641 Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: C930e [Logitech Webcam C930e], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
Some way to choose 'card 1' is wanted. Ideally as part of the interface as offered by Audacity, VLC and guvcview. Or say by start-up parameter like with alsa (arecord) or rec (sox):
$ arecord -f cd -D hw:1,0 out.wav
$ AUDIODRIVER=alsa AUDIODEV=hw:1,0 rec -c 1 out.mp3
Sound Recorder version: 3.34.0
Operating system: Fedora 32
