Gnome software doesn't notify of new updates
Gnome software doesn't notify of new updates.
Steps to reproduce:
- Install any build of fedora 29(that comes with gnome 3.30)
- Wait for a few hours to get the update notification about new updates.
Expected Results: The update notification should be shown as soon as gnome software finds new updates
Actual Result:
No such notifications are shown, instead updates are shown in the "Updates" tab of gnome software and the option to install updates
is shown in the power dialog while shutting down.
Notifications of gnome software are by default enabled in the settings (which is the default setting) My suggestion: Please use persistent notification for gnome software. This notification will be shown and remain in the gnome shell's notification shade until they are installed on each startup for once. This bug is present in 3.38.x and 3.26.x as well.
