wording of when updates not automatic
In version 3.34.2, the hamburger menu > Update Preferences > Automatic Updates explains "Automatic updates are disabled when on mobile or metered connections."
Since I'm on a laptop and don't have metering, I misread this to mean that disabling is done by the device, not by me, that the control was only displaying the consequence of my not being on a mobile or metered systemn, that I should not disable automatic updates, therefore that the setting was irrelevant to a laptop or desktop user, and therefore that it was unimportant. This led to the appearance that Fedora Linux was updating the software even when the laptop was not on a network. I reported silent networking as a security bug (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1792650) and a reply pointed to the setting. I changed the setting and saw the phrasing that likely misled me long ago.
To clarify that this is a user's option and that the option can be used for any reason, I recommend changing "can" to "may be" and adding ", such as". The resulting sentence would read, "Automatic updates may be disabled, such as when on mobile or metered connections."
