Request: Remove or change dedicated styling in gtk-style.css for .installed-icon, .install-progress and .counter-label
Hello there
In the Adwaita theme all accent colors have the same value (blue) though they are different color variables: success_color, and selected_bg_color
In Yaru we themed successcolor to be green, neutral color (an addition to adwaita) to be blue and selected bg color to be orange.
Success color is used for "new message" badges in the ubuntu-dock, checkboxes or radiobuttons or for the .installed-icon in gnome-software
Neutral color is used for text highlight and the progress bars
Selected bg color is used for all other kind of selections in the whole theme
It would be really nice if you could apply the following changes to your CSS (two changes will not affect Adwaita because they also have a success_color public colors https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/blob/master/gtk/theme/Adwaita/_colors-public.scss#L84):
.installed-icon:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css#L12
Either remove the dedicated styling or change from
@theme_selected_bg_color
to @theme_success_color
.counter-label (we "hacked" this with a box-shadow to look green, but you can still see the orange at the edges)
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css#L12
Either remove the dedicated styling or change from
@theme_selected_bg_color
to @theme_success_color
@jimmac would it be okay for you to add an additional color variable to Adwaita (neutral color) and set the value to the same value as progress bars color?
If this would be applied to Adwaita I would like to add a third request:
.install-progress:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-software/blob/master/src/gtk-style.css#L305
Either remove the dedicated styling or change from
@theme_selected_bg_color
to @theme_neutral_color
Best regards, Frederik
