OS upgrades - delay without feedback after pressing "update and restart"

When I press the "Update & Restart" button to perform an update, it just sits there for 10 seconds or more. The button is still active, making me doubt if it actually worked. After quite some wait, I finally get presented with the Restart dialog from the shell. I think it needs some more feedback. Some indication that the action took place.
