Firmware update error not shown
Please describe the issue you’re experiencing:
On my system the update of the firmware fails. If I click on "Update" Gnome-Software downloads the files and afterwards ask me to reboot to complete the update. If I go back to Gnome-Software after the reboot the same updates are proposed again which means that the updated wasn't completed successfully.
If I try to update the firmware on the command line with fwupdmgr I get this error message: "/run/media/root/PQSERVICE does not have sufficient space, required 90,1 MB, got 51,2 MB"
I assume it is the same reason why the update via gnome-software fails. But it fails silently without telling the user that something went wrong. Would be nice if gnome-software would show a useful error message to the user.
What Linux distribution are you using, and what kind of package (RPM, deb, flatpak, etc.) are you experiencing the problem with?
Fedora 39
