Search view: keyboard usability
Using search with the keyboard is a bit clumsy, for a few reasons:
- When the search entry has focus the expectation (from e.g. shell search, browsers, nautilus) is that down arrow focuses the first search item, and navigating up/down is possible using the arrow keys. Instead, you need to tab to the list first, and only then arrow key navigation becomes possible.
- Esc closes the search entry bar, but doesn't navigate back from the search view, leaving you in a weird view with just search results
- There's no shortcut to switch focus back the search entry when it's not focused (could be e.g. Ctrl+L like in browsers, or Ctrl+F like in text editors)
