Software is checking for updates even though I disabled automatic updates

Please describe the issue you’re experiencing:

I disabled automatic updates and notifications:

But Software still sometimes shows the update notification and seemingly still sometimes checks for updates (eats CPU in the background, shows available updates in the UI even though I never explicitly requested it).

What Linux distribution are you using, and what kind of package (RPM, deb, flatpak, etc.) are you experiencing the problem with?

Fedora 36 Silverblue, gnome-software-42.4-1.fc36.x86_64

gnome-software --verbose &> gnome-software.log

If the problem is with the user interface, please attach a screenshot or video of it. Please attach the file directly rather than linking to an external hosting service, as external files are likely to be deleted after a while.
