Codec installation page randomly opening after being opened when playing a media file
Fedora 35 Beta, gnome-software-41.0-1.fc35.x86_64.
A hour ago, I have tried to play an avi media file using Totem and got a prompt to install the missing "gstreamer1-plugins-good-extras" codec package. I have installed it and closed the Software window. However, after opening GNOME Software again, it automatically switched to the "gstreamer1-plugins-good-extras" details page and when I closed it, it randomly re-opened after a few seconds. Now, every time I open GNOME Software, it either switches directly to the "gstreamer1-plugins-good-extras" details page or the Software window with "gstreamer1-plugins-good-extras" appears after closing the main Software window.
There is nothing useful in the GS log, just these two things:
gnome-software[2766]: ignoring unknown or empty provided item type: font
...
gnome-software[2766]: gs_utils_append_key_value: assertion 'value != NULL' failed
But I am not sure whether these are related to this issue.
