GNOME workspace switching starts lagging after 20 seconds.
Every time i start my laptop doesnt matter if plugged in or not it starts and GNOME is butter smooth but after about 10 seconds its kind of OK when plugged in but when the laptop isnt plugged in GNOME lags really bad and its a pain sometimes to use it. The slow down isnt as noticable when laptop is plugged in but its still there and can be seen.
- Distro: Arch Linux
- Name:Acer nitro 5
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2500U
- GPU:VEGA8 and dedicated RX560X (VEGA8 is used for GNOME)
- RAM: 16gb (2x8gb)
- GNOME: 3.32.1
I tried taking a video recording of it but i cant do it in 20 seconds but its like this: Start GNOME Its butter smooth Wait 10 seconds or so Lag occurs and after that its not running at 60fps at all. Maybe like 25. This is crazy since the iGPU can run some newer games like Wolfenstein 2 at some decent framerate.
Glxgears is running at 60fps in small window and in fullscreen too. This bug is most noticible when switching workspaces as the workspace panel will move in very very laggy way.
Im more then happy to provide anything you will need (Logs etc...). Thank you.
