gnome-shell 3.30 crashes when restarting with Alt F2, r and enter
It seems that few people seem to be able to reproduce this problem which I have now seen using Ubuntu 18.10, Ubuntu 19.04 and Fedora 29, i.e. using gnome-shell 3.30. The issue is reproducible every time using the following steps.
To reproduce:
- Enable four workspaces
- Start an application on workspace 4
- Restart gnome-shell with Alt F2, r and enter
What should happen:
gnome-shell should restart gracefully leaving all applications running
What actually happens:
gnome-shell crashes, all applications are closed and the user is returned to the log-in screen
