Screencast feature allocates huge amount of memory during process and doesn't deallocate it
Dear Gnome-Devs,
first off this is my first time I open up an issue. So please excuse me for my inexperience (and also my english-skills). I would be glad to be corrected and getting suggestions.
Now to the topic!
Today I learned about the screen-casting feature of the gnome-shell. I mentioned that when I started the screencasting (ctrl+shift+alt+r) my machine became really laggy. I was not able to nail it down to something specific yet other than that the gnome-shell is allocating more and more memory(few Gig's after few seconds) during the running screencast until finally the UI freezes. Also if i stop the casting (again: ctrl+shift+alt+r) the memory won't get unreserved. Only after restarting of the gnome-shell process.
I will try to help if possible. Thanks for your attention and thanks for the great gnome project.
