Network accounts and bad networking
If user has bad or limited networking while installation any distribution which has Gnome 3 by default (I found it on Fedora 30) he may found a problem with linking his Google account with Gnome. It seems some countries has specific networking settings and this welcome screen become frozen if you choose to link your Google account. After approx. 10 minutes the window will disappear and welcome screen stay frozen. Only reboot from right top corner panel can help.
If you skip this dialogue. You will find the same in your system after welcome screen anyway.
Even then, account will be created, but nothing will work with it. For example TODO application will never find your task list from Gmail profile.
The problem is (as I think) in the Gnome has no exception to work with bad/corrupted/limited networks which cannot allow this accounting module to work right.
If I install third-party VPN connection from for example Sweden - I can link my google account and everything is OK. This behavior can affect anyone who is traveling or working in different countries and trying modern distributions with Gnome 3. It will failed on the welcome screen on the accounts step.
