app/window switcher is stuck visible if a password prompt appears while using it
What Happened
- Start something which causes a gnome shell password prompt but delayed to happen in a few seconds.
- Press Alt+Tab or Super+Tab release Tab and hold the Alt/Super to keep the switcher visible (while you are deciding which app to go to)
- Delayed passport prompt appears underneath the switcher !
- Notice that if you now release Alt the switches doesn't disappear, you can't press tab to move it to the next app/window, and even if you press Esc to cancel the passport prompt the switcher still doesn't disappear. One has to click one of the app/window's with the cursor to dismiss it. It seems that focus is lost to the password prompt and then the switcher is left dangling ?
What I expected to happen
As this a password prompt is appearing the switcher should probably just be dismissed as the user needs to complete that before changing windows ?
Real world scenario
The scenario I had which caused the delayed password prompt was performing a commit and push in an IDE, I have ssh-askpass-gnome installed, so after a period of time it asked for my SSH password. But I had started moving to another application while git was running.
Environment
This might be fixed in a newer GNOME as I am on 3.30.2?
