When I plug USB devices like my phone, tablet or USB memory into my PC GNOME freezes for 10 to 30 or so seconds then often GNOME crashes
- Running Fedora 30 x86_64
- GNOME Version 3.32
- Completely up to date
- Running on Wayland
- Same issue with Fedora 29
- Intel NUC8i7HVK
I can ssh in to the host while it is not responding and the host appears fine from the terminal. I can see it log the USB device being mounted as soon as the device is plugged. Nothing unusual logged as far as I can see.
When it takes the whole gnome session down I see this in the log.
May 31 18:22:42 gnome-session[4831]: gnome-session-binary[4831]: GLib-CRITICAL: g_child_watch_add_full: assertion 'pid > 0' failed
