Important regressions in maximization and tile features in Wayland
This used to work fine but now (shell 3.32.2):
-
If I take a window and tile it right (win+right arrow), then tile it left (win+left arrow) and finally restore (win+down arrow), its initial size is not restored anymore. Strangely enough, it doesn't happen with windows of some apps (for example, chromium) but I can consistently reproduce it with many apps in the gnome suite (terminal, gedit and others).
-
If I take a window and repeatedly tile it right (or left) and untile it, each time it's untiled it becomes smaller, so after repeating several times the window is tiny.
AFAICS this happens only in Wayland, when running with XOrg it behaves as expected. Maybe that explains that Chrome is well behaved (since it runs on XWayland).
