Overview animations performance
I noticed that several overview animations seem to be somewhat laggy when using the default powersave
governor of most laptops.

If instead we took a snapshot of the scaled window at the beginning of the animation (e.g. entering/exiting overview, workspace switching still from overview etc.) and scale that instead of the window in real-time, and then restart painting/rendering scaled windows when the animation is over, for example when overview is fully open (therefore avoiding getting each window buffer at each frame) performance might improve significantly without being very noticeable since the animation is relatively fast. Android and iOS do something very similar, but more aggressively since content isn't rendered until the app/window is opened again.
