custom.conf, AutomaticLogin script not working
The help page: [https://help.gnome.org/admin/gdm/stable/configuration.html.en]
describes the setting AutomaticLogin. It says it can be a script. Mine has this syntax:
[daemon]
AutomaticLoginEnable=True
AutomaticLogin=/usr/local/bin/LoginChooser.sh|
That script has this content:
#!/bin/bash
if [ "$DISPLAY" == ":0" ]; then
echo "user1"
else
echo "user2"
fi
What I have found is the script seems to not be executed. It has permissions of 755. Perhaps this feature is not really there yet in gdm3? I have 3.28.3 on ubuntu 18.04.4
I have a multiseat system and would like for all seats to automatic login, under different users.
