Window Management: Shade / Roll-up Windows
ISSUE: Windows do not all respond to shade/roll-up the same. Some do, others do not. RESOLUTION: Make it so all windows can shade/roll-up (Very valuable when combined with "always on top" option).
Hello, I am a huge fan of "shade windows". I don't use it all the time, however, there are times where it is useful (especially when combined with "Always on Top" and what has made Linux fantastic to me. I now have inconsistent behavior and some windows will shade and some will not. It appears as if any Gnome application (CSD?) will not shade.
I saw previous discussion that people don't know what to do with it if shaded... (specifically buttons). That in mind, I believe some useful points were made for consideration.
Standard Behavior: Hide all but window controls (min, max, close). Custom Behavior: Enable some applications to display customized "shaded" controls (IE: a music player).
Please re-enable this feature. I know not many use it and it may be off by default; however, having it available uniformly will be very helpful and it reminds us oldies what make Linux so great. While KDE was my initial favorite (2007), I moved to Gnome and then Unity and back to Gnome over the years with a propensity to prefer Gnome. Gnome 3 and the changes over time (some I disagree with like this one) are a source of tension at times.
Thanks for consideration (and I hope a favorable determination).
