Enhancement: Optimize included images (svg, png, jpg)
When heading through my local filesystem with image optimization tools (for svg, png and jpg files), I noticed that some gnome-shell related files were optimized.
I've used:
-
svgo -r --multipass -f ./FOLDER
for svg files -
oxipng -o max -r -p ./FOLDER
for png files -
find ./FOLDER \( -name "*.jpeg" -o -name "*.jpg" \) -exec jpegoptim -p {} \;
for jpg files
Possibly apply those programs and optimizations to your image files (source-code or as a build step) to save some space, reduce download sizes and necessary computing power to display the images - even though all of these are just minimal improvements.
