OSK Georgian only has 26 out of 33 characters (missing shift key)
edit: Apologies if this is gnome-shell-mobile related only. If so, it can be reported there, but perhaps this exists on official gnome-shell also. I'm not sure how to check that.
Affected version
Provide at least the following information:
- Your OS and version: postmarketOS edge on Pine64 Pinetab
- Affected GNOME Shell version: gnome-shell-mobile-44_git20230405-r1
- Does this issue appear in XOrg and/or Wayland: wayland
- Does this issue happen without extensions: no extensions (extensions disabled)
Bug summary
If I select the Georgian keyboard layout (enabled in Settings -> Keyboard -> Input Sources by adding "Georgian" (see screenshot - not "Georgian (MESS)" or "Georgian (ergonomic)") there is no Shift key (see screenshot) and therefore no way to type the characters ჭ, ღ, თ, შ, ჟ, ძ, or ჩ. If I plug in a keyboard to usb I can type these letters by pressing Shift + corresponding keys (წ-w, რ-r, ტ-t, ჯ-j, ზ-z, ც-c respectively).
Steps to reproduce
- Enable and switch to Georgian keyboard layout
- No shift key to type these letters and long press on them does not do anything.
What did you expect to happen
I expected there to be a Shift key or that a long press would type those characters.
What did you expect GNOME Shell to do?
To provide a Shift key for this layout or that long press would work. Actually, I think both should work, but it's probably best to have at least have the Shift key because I think it would be more intuitive to someone using this layout.
