gnome-shell dumped core when closing gedit?
Affected version
- Fedora Silverblue 37 (37.20230119.0)
- gnome-shell-43.2-1.fc37.x86_64
- Using Wayland
- This problem has only been observed once with extensions enabled; unsure if it is repeatable
Bug summary
I was closing my existing apps in preparation of restarting my system; when I closed an instance of a gedit
Flatpak, my whole GNOME session appeared to crash and I was sent back to the login screen.
Steps to reproduce
- Open
gedit
Flatpak - Have one or more docs with unsaved changes
- Attempt to close the
gedit
window - Respond to prompt about unsaved changes
- gnome-shell crashes
What happened
gnome-shell crashed, dumped core
What did you expect to happen
keep functioning
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
I did not have debug symbols installed and I am unsure if this problem is reproducible; I am pasting a link to coredumpctl info
and relevant section of the journal for review. I understand that this problem may not be workable without the debug symbols.
