Sound output quick access menu disappears after the first time a change is made using it

Fedora 37, using the default GNOME on Wayland session, Intel integrated graphics. Also reproduces on X.org session.

This is a regression from the previous version, 43.1-4.fc37.

Bug summary

After the first sound output change is made, the quick access menu disappears. Only way to bring it back seems to be to log out and start a new session.

Steps to reproduce

1. Log in, have 2 sound output options available in the system, extensions disabled.
2. Change the output using the quick access menu.
3. Quick access menu disappears.
4. Several errors appear in the journal from gsd-media-keys and gnome-shell.
5. Sound outputs continue to be selectable via the settings app and work normally.
