Sound output quick access menu disappears after the first time a change is made using it

Fedora 37, using the default GNOME on Wayland session, Intel integrated graphics. Also reproduces on X.org session.
This is a regression from the previous version, 43.1-4.fc37.
Bug summary
After the first sound output change is made, the quick access menu disappears. Only way to bring it back seems to be to log out and start a new session.
Steps to reproduce
- Log in, have 2 sound output options available in the system, extensions disabled.
- Change the output using the quick access menu.
- Quick access menu disappears.
- Several errors appear in the journal from
gsd-media-keys
andgnome-shell
. - Sound outputs continue to be selectable via the settings app and work normally.
