two-column layout too narrow for network names

The two column layout of the quick settings, together with the fixed-width menu severely ellipsizes the network names.

This is not cool, and seems like a regression from what we had before.

We shouldn't ellipsize things in the ui by default, in particular since this is a big screen with plenty of space, and all the crampedness is self-imposed.
