Memory leaks Vanilla GNOME Wayland
Affected version
I am on upstream Archlinux with Zen kernel.
GNOME Shell 42.3.1
mutter 42.3
NVIDIA-SMI 515.65.01
Happens in Xorg too but is way more evident in Wayland.
Everything is up to date. I created a new user to make sure it's not caused by any config file/extension/theme/settings whatever.
Bug summary
Doing "regular" things like switching workspaces, opening/closing windows, opening overview, opening the app drawer incrementally increases both computer memory usage and GPU memory usage. It seems to get freed again too, but the memory freed is less than the amount it increased by. This is very evident with GPU memory usage. After 1 hour of usage the shell feels very sluggish.
This does not happen with any other compositor (sway, wayfire, Kwin). Only gnome-shell.
