system reliably frozen on encrypted partition unlock prompt
Hello. I've noticed that recently (around 3.30 or so) every time I plug in my external hard drive while GNOME is running when the prompt comes up for my password to unlock I cannot click anything. I can type into the box, but clicking either button or pressing enter has absolutely no effect. I can't alt-f2 either, and so far the least destructive way to jump out of it for me has been with a SysRq+e command.
It should be noted that if GNOME does not do an automatic prompt for the device—say, if I plug it in before login, then I can decrypt it just fine through Nautilus.
I've checked journalctl and systemd, and haven't found anything significant other than some message about enabling write caching on the drive.
If not reproducible, any tips to debug would be much appreciated.
