Accessibility > zoom, Caret tracking off focus since 42.2 only
Applies to GNOME in combination with LibreOffice.
After upgrading from GNOME 42.1 to 42.2 and accessibility > zoom is activated, the screen pans up to the left instead of following the text cursor. Then you no longer see what you are writing. Works as expected up to and including GNOME 42.1. Screenshots provided.
Reproduce:
Enable Accessibility > Zoom in GNOME 42.0 or 42.1
Launch LibreOffice Writer and enter text. The screen follows the writing cursor (as expected).
Then, upgrade to GNOME 42.2. The zoomed view pans up to the left. You no longer see what you are writing in LO.
Expected behavior:
The zoomed view should follow the text cursor (as in GNOME 42.1).
Testing methods:
Tested with Pop!OS 22.04 and Fedora 36 Workstation. Also tried to freeze LibreOffice upgrade and only upgrade GNOME. Same result. Test made on hardware and Virtualbox. I also tested older versions of LibreOffice (appimages) and this issue still remains. Therefore, I do not think it is LibreOffice that is causing this.
More testing:
Continues to test other than LibreOffice as there are tendencies to the same problem in other applications.
