GNOME 42 screenshot UI: no way to choose file save location
Affected version
- OS: Debian testing
- GNOME Shell 42.0-4
- xorg
Bug summary
In the old screenshot UI, there was a way to choose where the new screenshot file was saved to. I don't see any way to do that in the new UI, and I don't even see a dconf key to change the location for all screenshots. (The vast majority of the time, I either want #5208 or to save the file to /tmp. It's very rare that I want to save a screenshot to anywhere that will last.)
Steps to reproduce
- Press the print screen button.
- Try to take a screenshot and save it to a specific folder.
What happened
The screenshot was saved to what appears to be a hardcoded location, I think.
What did you expect to happen
I expected either a choice of where to save it, or a setting (even if it's just in dconf and not the UI) to control where it's saved.
