Wrong OSD symbols displayed

Bug summary
From time to time, the displayed OSD symbols are completely messed up. E.g., when using the hardware keys to change the speaker volume it sometimes shows the brightness volume, the microphone symbol etc. However, it is not only the speaker OSB that is messed up, literally all my OSD symbols are sometimes wrong (in my case screen brightness, keyboard brightness, microphone mute, speakers).
Steps to reproduce
- Unclear, happens from time to time after using the hardware keys on
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
Here is an example, the OSDs text clearly indicates that I am currently changing the speaker volume, but the keyboard brightness symbol is displayed.
