[GNOME 40] Mouse doesn't focus properly for XWayland full-screen windows that steal the mouse cursor (games with custom cursors)
Affected version
- Fedora 34 beta
- GNOME 40.0
- Only tested Wayland
Bug summary
When having Dota 2 open in full-screen mode through XWayland, I switch out of the game from activities overview to browser or any other window and then I try to re-enter Dota 2 through activities overview, the mouse won't focus in game and it won't work.
The only way to get it working back is to focus another Window (necessary part, won't work if just alt-tabing to Dota2 when dota2 window is "focused") through activities and then alt-tab to Dota2.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Dota 2 in full-screen via XWayland
- Enter activities overview and switch your window to any other
- Enter activities overview and change back to Dota 2 full-screen window
What happened
Dota 2 Window focuses, but mouse inside doesn't change to Dota2 cursor and clicking on anything won't work
What did you expect to happen
Window properly focuses and mouse works in-game
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
I didn't provide any screenshots since issue is easily reproducible and description describes the behavior very well.
