Using a touch screen, attempting to swipe between app pages instead moves app icons and causes occasional softlocks
OS: Fedora 34 pre-release Gnome 40, Wayland, latest update at time of posting.
Steps to reproduce
- Enter "show applications" menu.
- Using a touch screen, attempt to swipe through pages.
Expectation
Pages would scroll either left or right depending on which direction I scrolled.
What happened
App icons would be touched, and would be flung in different places, with the user staying on the same page they intended to leave.
And now funny enough, after recording a clip reproducing the bug, the Application Menu, Clock menu, top right menu, and everything in the Overview is frozen and cannot be interacted with using either a mouse or a touch screen. I changed my original title to reflect this discovery. I've never reported a bug, nor do I know how to code, so if you want any more information on that bug, please ask. Video will be attached below.
