Incorrect cursor damage tracking in text input fields when scaled

Incorrect cursor damage tracking in text input fields when using a scaled display.

  1. Run: CLUTTER_PAINT=damage-region gnome-shell ...
  2. Configure a display scale above 100%.
  3. Start typing in a shell input field like Activities search or Alt+F2

Expected: Red highlighting matches what changes on screen.
Observed: Red highlighting moves ahead of the cursor position.
