Notification popups steal focus sometimes

I've noticed a really annoying behavior since I started using Linux again recently. When I get a notification popup, sometimes (but not all the time), focus is stolen from the app I'm in. As an example, while I'm typing this issue description, I might get a notification from Slack or some other program. That notification sometimes will steal focus so that typing on my keyboard is no longer typing into this description text box. In order to continue typing, I have to either:

a) wait for the notification to dismiss itself, b) manually dismiss the notification, or c) leave the notification on screen but click to refocus the app I was typing into.

Like I said, it's not all notifications, and the app itself doesn't seem to matter. One Discord notification might steal focus but another won't. I'm trying to figure out the rhyme/reason behind it, but I haven't yet. I'll update this ticket if I figure anything out.

Either way, I hope this issue can be solved as it can be quite frustrating when I'm coding then all of a sudden everything I type is no longer being typed into my editor.
