Backgrounds look too sharp

I'm not sure if this is a Shell or a Mutter issue, but background images look too sharp. I have a pretty sh*ty screen with 1366×768px resolution and any bigger image (ex. 6000×4000px) looks quite bad (see screenshot). Even the default GNOME background...
