Password-entry field resizes before being dismissed
Affected version
Fedora 32 Beta, GNOME 3.36.0 running on Wayland
Bug summary
When entering a long password (any password whose length exceeds the initial length of the password-entry box), after hitting <enter>
the password-entry box is resized to the length of the password.
Steps to reproduce
- Set a long password on a user (I don't know how long the standard password-entry box is).
- Log in as that user.
(Also occurs for unlocking the screen and entering passwords when prompted in the overlay.)
What happened
After hitting <enter>
the password-entry box is resized to the length of the password, which is jarring.
What did you expect to happen
Just log in without changing the screen layout.
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
Nothing in the logs.
