memory leak while in use
After a session lasting a few days, gnome-shell
has over 13 GiB of memory resident.
Looks like constant allocations while I'm working and no allocations while my session is locked.
The overwhelming majority of allocated memory is by mozjs...
Is it helpful to run gnome-shell
via valgrind
? Are there any up-to-date instructions on the best way to do that (since gnome-shell --replace
is no longer possible)? What other arguments are useful, etc?
I'll upload the heaptrack
file later (it's 1.2 GiB).
