Lockscreen: Add transition after entering user password
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Lock the screen in any user account.
- Enter the account password.
- Observe jarring blip when user unlocks their desktop
What is the expected behavior?
After entering in the lock screen password, GNOME should use a transition effect to smoothly enter back into the user's desktop session. Some ideas for transitioning can be a slide up or a dissolve effect.
What went wrong?
Everything blips into view after the user signs in, causing a jarring effect.
I personally think adding a transition when signing in adds less friction to the UX when unlocking the screen. I'm not sure if the new login/lockscreen will come out of the concept phase, but I imagine a dissolve transition from lockscreen to user account will work well with it.
