Enable clicking to unlock screen
Today, to unlock your screen (and go from the clock to the log-in screen), there are two ways: — Press any key — Click-and-drag-and-drop from bottom to top
The first one is not instinctive for mouse-heavy users not using much keyboard shortcuts.
The second is very unusual on a computer without touchscreen, and almost undiscoverable (although animated arrows give a clue at one point, but the mouse operation still has to be understood).
As a concrete user experience, my mother got locked out of her screen, and was not able to log-in again. She clicked and clicked and clicked but was stuck on the clock screen.
I think clicking should be added to the possible methods to get to the next screen here.
