Night light should allow selecting a location to use
There are cases where geoclue tends to give completely wrong locations (e.g. wrong city that is even in a different time zone). Similar to selecting a location for weather, we could allow the user to select a location and then use that to calculate the sunrise/sunset times rather than the detected location from Geoclue.
This is more of a UI issue (which needs to be solved in gnome-control-center). Questions include:
- Do we want people to select a city for night light or generally as their location (which will be used implicitly)?
- Do we want this to tie in with e.g. the weather location selection in GNOME?
- Should we detect weird situation (i.e. current timezone different from location) and handle them differently?
There are discussions both in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=784823 and #3 (closed).
