gnome-session-check-accelerated: no X11 display found
Good day! Thank you for developing amazing software.
I'm trying to set up xrdp server to access my home PC remotely. xrdp server works well, but when it starts to load gnome desktop it throws this error:
gnome-session-check-accelerated: no X11 display found
This is wierd, because, according to logs, X11 display is being created by the VNC server, but gnome-session is unable to find it.
Full logs are available here: https://pastebin.com/pm2nFaKi
OS: Fedora Linux 35
Steps to reproduce:
- Install Fedora 35
sudo dnf install xrdp
sudo systemctl enable --now xrdp
- Try to connect with any RDP client, make sure that your client uses 16, 24 or 32 colordepth, because 15bpp is not supported by Xvnc and results in a weird
Couldn't add display
X server error - Observe gnome error in
sudo journalctl -e
I'm ready to provide any additional information as needed. Sorry if this turns out to be an issue unrelated to GNOME, Linux ecosystem is overcomplicated and it's difficult to debug things.
Thanks!
