VNC resolution stuck at 800x600 after upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04
Hello, after upgrading Ubuntu from 20.04 to 22.04, my VNC connection is stuck at 800x600 despite the set resolution is 1920x1080. I see only partial screen, starting from top left corner. RDP displays correctly. I had to disable Wayland, without that the option to enable Remote Desktop was missing in Gnome Settings. I think previously I used Vino, but its process is now not running, so I expect gnome-remote-desktop is used, but I have also this output:
grdctl status RDP: Status: disabled TLS certificate: TLS key: View-only: yes Username: (empty) Password: (empty) VNC: Status: disabled Auth method: prompt View-only: yes Password: (empty)
Also netstat shows this, so the gnome-remote-desktop should be the "VNC provider":
tcp6 0 0 :::5900 :::* LISTEN 1470/gnome-remote-d
This is my xorg.conf, I believe I had to previously modify it, as the PC does not have monitor connected:
cat xorg.conf Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor0" HorizSync 28.0-80.0 VertRefresh 48.0-75.0 Modeline "1920x1080_60.00" 172.80 1920 2040 2248 2576 1080 1081 1084 1118 -HSync +Vsync EndSection
Section "Device" Identifier "Card0" Driver "dummy" VideoRam 256000 EndSection
Section "Screen" DefaultDepth 24 Identifier "Screen0" Device "Card0" Monitor "Monitor0" SubSection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1920x1080_60.00" EndSubSection
Is there a config file or something where I can set custom resolution for the VNC? I am using UltraVNC client, but tried also bVNC on Android, I doubt it is VNC client related. I was not able to Google anything. Thanks.
