      test-gegl: Unbreak /gegl/buffer/zoom/in* with Babl 0.1.67 · 2083b632
      Debarshi Ray authored
Babl 0.1.67 added some AVX2 fast paths [1] that might alter the
checksum of GeglBuffers when zooming in with gegl:scale-ratio. The
difference in the accuracy of the values is too small to be perceived
by the human eye, while the performace benefits are significant.

      test-gegl: Support multiple reference checksums in /gegl/buffer/zoom/* · 92813053
      Debarshi Ray authored
The SHA256 checksum of a GeglBuffer can be affected by changes in Babl
that alter the accuracy of the values generated by GEGL. Babl 0.1.67
added some AVX2 fast paths [1] that might occasionally affect the
checksum of GeglBuffers output by gegl:scale-ratio. The difference in
the accuracy of the values is too small to be perceived by the human
eye, while the performace benefits are significant.

Therefore, to avoid spurious failures, the test suite needs to support
      multiple reference checksum strings.

      glib: Add photos_glib_assert_strv_contains · 3a3f9e29
      Debarshi Ray authored
It's a debugging macro to assert that a GStrv contains a given string.

A subsequent commit will use this to support having multiple reference
SHA256 checksums in the test suite. Hence, photos-glib.[ch] needs to be
moved to the private shared library.

gegl: Add a version comparison macro for Babl · ff5191cf
      Debarshi Ray authored
The SHA256 checksum of a GeglBuffer can be affected by changes in Babl
that alter the accuracy of the values generated by GEGL. These changes
are usually improvements to the existing fast paths in Babl, or the
addition or removal of fast paths; and the difference in the accuracy
of the values is too small to be perceived by the human eye, while the
      performance benefits are significant.

Therefore, to avoid spurious failures, the test suite needs to support
multiple reference checksum strings - sometimes specific to a
particular Babl version. A subsequent commit will use this version
      comparison macro to do so.

      test-gegl: Rearrange the /gegl/buffer/zoom/* tests · ead3bce7
      Debarshi Ray authored
While the SHA256 checksum is the ultimate source of truth when
comparing GeglBuffers, the checksum values provide very little insight
into why the buffers are different. Therefore, it's better to run the
/gegl/buffer/zoom/nop test first as a smoke test to establish a minimum
      baseline.
