Authentication window hangs after entering password when trying to log into google
If i attempt to login into google using gnome online accounts, the login window hangs with a turning dial after i put in my password and press enter. The issue seems similar to many reported, e.g. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=285620, however neither switching to wayland, using WEBKIT_DISABLE_SANDBOX_THIS_IS_DANGEROUS=1, nor WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 helps. Also in contrast to other reported issues, the window does not freeze, the dial just turns infinitely. Log of gnome control center does not reveal anything from the point of trying to log into google. However, the message "GLib-GIO: Using cross-namespace EXTERNAL authentication (this will deadlock if server is GDBus < 2.73.3)" in the beginning caught my eye, but I'm not sure what to do about it. Previously, google login worked fine. Note that I also cannot correctly configure a google calendar in evolution due to some oauth error. Also, the problem was present before the resent update to gnome 45.
