layout: Remove Sundry category

Jeremy Bicha requested to merge wip/remove-sundry into master

This category has always been a bit controversial.

In 2019, the category isn't very useful any more since most typical GNOME 3 installs will not see this category.

I think we can take that as a win for the reasons the category was originally created.

Other Comments

For years, the only thing that typically causes this category to appear on my computer is dconf editor. I think that's unfair to dconf editor. I think it's poor usability to have a category with just one item in it.

A default Fedora install has one item in the Sundry category: the abrt bug report tool. That feels like a Design bug to me. I would prefer it be in the Utilities category.

Ironically, a Sundry category with one item makes that item more prominent in the Activities Overview than by keeping the apps in Utilities.

Besides the Applications Overview (and the app menu in GNOME Classic), the Sundry category also shows up in the GNOME Software app. The Software app's list is manually updated so I'll update that if this proposal is merged.

@aday We're going to need Design sign off for this.
