GNOME Maps not appearing in location services
Environment
- Ubuntu OS version: 20.04.1 LTS
- Gnome version: 3.36.3
- Gnome Maps version: 3.36.1
Description:
- GNOME Maps' current location shown is not accurate.
- GNOME Maps does not appear under the list of apps for location access in the location services windows.
- When location access is turned off, GNOME Maps does not prompt to turn on location services and instead shows the last current location.
Reproduction Steps:
- Turn on location services via settings (Settings > Privacy > Location Services)
- Open GNOME Maps and click on icon to go to current location. Notice that current location shown is not accurate ==> PROBLEM
- Close GNOME Maps
- Re-open location services. Notice that location services shows "No applications have asked for location access" ==> PROBLEM
- Turn off location services
- Open GNOME Maps. Notice that no pop-up appears to turn on location services appears. ==> PROBLEM
